MS (Computer Science) launched

The first batch of MS(Computer Science) students along with the MS(Economics) were inducted as part of the launch of the two new evening programs, starting Fall 2009. This completes the full range of Computer Science offerings in the FCS, starting from BS to PhD.

BCS program renamed to BS(CS)

The Academic Board of the IBA approved the award of BS(Computer Science) degree to all existing enrolled BCS students.

IBA Computer Science Program achieves highest rating from NCEAC

The National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) of the HEC has awarded a rating of ‘W’ to the IBA BS(CS) program. This is the highest rating that can be achieved from the four possible ratings of W, X, Y and Z.

IBA Signs Agreement with ORACLE Academy

Karachi, May 2, 2009: The IBA signed an agreement with the Oracle Academy to introduce the Oracle Academy’s Advanced Computer Science program at IBA. This program will help IBA Computer Science students to develop the business and technology skills required for the modern professional world.

With the establishment of the two faculties at IBA: 'Faculty of Business Administration' and 'Faculty of Computer Science', the 'Centre for Computer Studies' is now officially known as the 'Faculty of Computer Science'.
