Dr. Wasim Khan honored with Fellowship of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers

On 28th Nov 2007 Dr. Wasim A. Khan, HEC Professor at IBA, achieved the status of Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE). Established in 1847, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is the leading body for professional mechanical engineers.

World Congress recognizes high quality research at the CCS, IBA

The World Congress of Engineers WCE 2007 to be held at Imperial College, London from 2nd July 2007 to 4th July 2007 acknowledged the high-quality research at the Center for Computer Studies, Institute of Business Administration by accepting the paper of Professor Dr. Ahmed Ali Shah.

KARACHI (February 21 2006): For the first time in the history of the country, the Microsoft Corporation, Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) would jointly launch the 'Imagine Cup' to help information technology (IT) students to get further knowledge in their (IT) field.

ICICT 2005

The 1st International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies (ICICT 2005) Karachi Pakistan, was successfully held on 27th – 28th August 2005 at Hotel Pearl Continental Karachi. The major sponsors of this conference were IBA, Microsoft, PTCL, Inbox, Intel, IEEE, ACM, HEC, British Council and PIA.

ICICT 2005 was an outstanding success and was inaugrated by President General Pervez Musharraf. President General Pervez Musharraf expressed his confidence that the future of Information Technology (IT) and telecommunication in Pakistan is extremely bright.
